After being in Jacksonville 58 days, this afternoon Angel received her last session of proton beam therapy.
We were up early and eagerly anticipating the appointment! We her to Panera bread for a chocolate milk breakfast.
We then drove to Publix to pick up the cakes, before arriving at the clinic a little too early!
Once at the clinic – Angel did some art with Barbara while waiting to go in! Here they are looking super smiley!
Angel Bev and I were super happy that Scott, Kathy and Jimmie, Emily and Ewen came to see her ring the bell!
Then Angel had…. Her last proton!!!

And posed for lots of pictures with her nurses, doctors, social worker, therapist, physicist and friends.
And every person I saw in the building had a piece of cake!

CONGRATS ANGEL!!! I’m so sad I couldn’t be there but I’m so proud to have know you while I was there. I hope to see you at your yearly check up and let me know when you come back into town!
