A while ago, Angel’s social worker Rachel asked her if she would like to join CLIC Sargent’s Childrens and Young Peoples Advisory Group.
This weekend Angel attended her first event!
It was held at the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley, near Birmingham.
The meeting started at 11am, and the group discussed various topics, including: CLIC Sargent’s 3 year campaign strategy with the Policy and Research Team, ideas for schools fundraising, and ideas for the charity’s future services for children and young people. They also had some Shout Out magazine activities and games.
There was also a discussion at the group, where the children and young people had the opportunity to share updates on things that have happened since the last group meeting in November.
Angel really enjoyed attending this event,
She went down with her Mum on the train from Blackpool, and after the meeting they were able to look round the museum for a while. Bev definitely recommends it as a visiting spot for children!
Thanks again for those who have ordered a Mothers Day Hamper from the fundraising post, if anyone else would like to, please contact me via email.
I will try to send some Easter packs back with Angel and Bev at the weekend!
